Log Basket

Inspired by traditional West Country orchard gathering baskets, this log basket is crafted from oak bark tanned bridle leather.

The large leather panels reveal the full character of the material, which is carefully cut, dyed, polished, and hand-riveted around a solid ash timber base. The handles are worked specially to brilliant shine for a warm and tactile feel, before skilful stitching as with the body, on a classic saddler’s machine. Designed for firewood, blankets, or toys, each basket is unique, with a natural patina that develops over time.
