Charles Heidseck

A special edition portable bottle sleeve case for Charles Heidseck.

We were commissioned to design a portable bottle sleeve case for the eponymous Charles Heidseck, inspired by the materials used by the house to create their distinctive and well loved champagne.

The body of the sleeve was vegetable tanned leather, tanned using bark extract such as chestnut and mimosa. We designed the handle in a heavier oak bark-tanned bridle leather, in homage to the oak casks used to age the champagne. The shaped solid cork base references the iconic silhouette and material of the champagne cork, and lends support and shape.
