Zara Home

Otzi x Zara Home: a limited-edition chair made especially for Zara Home customers at the Otzi workshops.

Otzi collaborated with Zara Home to produce a limited-edition chair – an exclusive variation of the Otzi Camber chair, the piece features a smoked oak frame with a woven vegetable tanned leather cord seat and a nude bridle leather back, produced specially for the chairs from one of Britain’s last working tanneries.

Each chair was meticulously processed through the leatherwork- and woodwork-shops, taking hours of careful selection, cutting, shaping and finishing. Traditional joinery such as wedged tenons sit alongside sculpted features such as the armrests to give the piece a truly hand crafted and timeless feel. The frames were naturally fumed and finished with Danish oil to enhance the oak grain.

The heavy natural, undyed bridle leather was chosen for its unique strength granted by the lengthy vegetable tanning process. Keeping the full grain allows for the leather to take on a beautiful patina over time and gives each piece subtle variation. The backrests are painstakingly prepared and sewn on traditional saddlery machines, before sanding and polishing with organic beeswax. They are then mounted onto the frame with solid brass hardware that will age gracefully with the leather and oak.

In collaborating with Otzi, Zara Home focused on the workshops’ skilled craftsmanship and use of the highest quality materials to produce these distinctive editions of the Camber chair.

The piece was showcased at the Fuorisalone in Milan in 2025 and is featured in a selection of Zara Home stores as well as being sold online.
